Quantum Optics (Kvantoptik)

The course covers the experimental methods and techniques in quantum optics with special emphasis on quantum information applications. The purpose of the course is to give the student tools and training for experimental techniques in quantum optics with special emphasis on: Single photon generation and detection, interferometry, quantum measurements, quantum noise, quantum correlations, experimental tests of quantum theory, atom-light interaction, and experimental demonstration of quantum information tasks such as Quantum cryptography, quantum teleportation, and quantum gates.
